Author Spotlight #TNTConfidential with Raven McAllan & Hong Kong Heat #erotic #romance

Ever been to Hong Kong? No? Allow Raven McAllan to take you on a sizzling tour...Welcome to Hong Kong. Welcome to, Hong Kong Heat

I love Hong Kong.

The sights, the scents, (yes, really, pungent though some are,) the sheer diversity of the place.
It fascinates me, and is probably my favorite city. (Singapore is a close second though.)
I've been lucky enough to go to Hong Kong several times. As my husband is usually there to work, I have time to myself to explore and plot.

Hong Kong Heat came about from one of the days we spent together, and walked across Lamma Island. A young couple, holding hands and stopping every so often for a quick kiss and cuddle were in front of us. Then they took a side path to a look out spot.

My mind went into overdrive.

Then a friend and I were on holiday in Amsterdam. I told her my rough plot, and she nagged me to get on with writing it. I did and used her name for my heroine.

The Lamma Island walk is in the book. We, I hasten to add were hot and needed a cold drink to cool down, but only because of the heat and humidity.

The rest of the city was the perfect backdrop for Debra and Braam.

Blurb

Debra Scotburn never thought of herself as a cougar, until she fell in lust at first sight with a much younger man.

Braam Van Meister, a hotshot—and hot-bod—trouble- doesn't do commitment, until the older, curvy, vivacious brunette robs him off his ability to control a certain body part.

Unable to keep their hands off each other, they embark on a passion-filled holiday fling.

Surely that is all it can ever be? Braam's work takes him all around the world at a moment's notice, and Debra is on the last leg of her middle-aged-crisis induced gap year.

When misunderstandings tear them apart, can they both admit their love and find the trust needed to make this more than just a fling?

A wee tease…

"You're trespassing. You shouldn't be up here at night."

She stared up at him and grinned. The moon appeared from behind a cloud and his pulse jumped like a flea in a circus. It was her. His mystery lady.

“So I am, or should that be am not?” She swirled her arms and the moonlight caught the ripples and sent tiny moonbeams dancing over the surface of the pool. “Which means unless you’re the night watchman…?” Her voice trailed off mid sentence, on a querying note.

Braam shook his head.

“Then neither should you. So why don’t you join me? Or is jogging the only exercise you do?” She tilted her head to one side and swam in lazy circles around the island in the centre of the pool.

Does she know there’s innuendo in that statement?

“Come on, live dangerously. You know you shouldn’t swim alone at night.” She laughed. “So in actual fact, we’ll be helping each other.”

Why not? Braam pushed the sides of his trousers apart and kicked them off his legs with scant care to creases. The suit needed to go to the cleaners anyway. An over anxious sous chef had made sure of that when Braam had checked the buffet earlier.

He left his boxers on—after all there was such a thing as over-familiarity—and dived in.

The water closed over his head and he pushed to the surface. It was like swimming in a Jacuzzi without the bubbles. The warmth surrounded him as he swam towards the woman leaning against the
edge of the pool with her arms stretched out to hold her in place.

“So, hello, Ms Intruder. We meet again.” He trod water and moved his arms and hands to stay in front of her and not move into her personal space. As much as he’d have liked to crowd her, demand who she was and why she was there, he knew better.

“It seems we do. Nothing more mysterious than the ways of the world, eh?” She chuckled and splashed water with her legs. “Is this where I say fancy meeting you here? Or we must quit meeting like this, people will talk?”

There was no doubt about that, especially if the night manager turned the security cameras on. Braam angled his body then swam around the island so that if that did happen, his face wouldn’t be seen. There was one spot where the cameras didn’t reach, but was visible to the lifeguards when they were on duty. As he hoped, the lady swam after him, until they reached what he termed the safe area.

“Are we playing tag?” Her voice was husky and it lifted his libido and his cock by several notches. In fact, his cock was pressing against his boxers and even the water couldn’t   come to his aid so he didn't get harder by the minute. This woman intrigued him.

“I can think of better things to play.”

Her eyes widened and the laugh she gave went straight to his dick and hinted at all things erotic.

“Such as? Ludo? Scrabble, or, I know, Hotel?” She ran her tongue around her lips in an unconscious invitation to plunder and Braam was hard pressed not to groan.

“You show me yours and I’ll show you mine…” Braam paused. “Hotel, I mean, what else?”

She giggled. It wasn’t the silly sound a young girl would make, but a deep, sexy noise. “How about Kiss Chase?”

In one swift movement the lady pushed off the side, kissed him hard on the lips and turned to swim away. He was too fast for her. Braam held her by the shoulders, tread water and kissed her back.
She groaned deep into his mouth and let her tongue swirl with his. Her body floated next to his and her breasts teased his chest. The thin lace that covered her was no barrier to hide how her nipples stood out. Braam slid one leg between hers and moved one hand to hold her ass and push her tight against him.

She wriggled and ground her pussy on his cock. Yet again, the few scraps of lace she wore were negligible. Even so it took immense control not to rip them away and have nothing between them. Instead he held her close, let her rub herself on him and savoured the moment. Braam swam them backwards a few feet until he could rest on a ledge a foot or so underwater and sit his lady on his knees with her legs either side and her pussy open to his cock. It was teasing, tantalising and downright enjoyable. Judging by the shivers and mewls she made as he nibbled her ear and scattered kisses over her face and mouth, she agreed. Her hands played with his nipples.
Until his cock gave notice that a few more seconds’ play and they’d need to clean the pool out. He was so close to coming it hurt.

Braam pulled back and she moaned in protest.

“Honey, I’m so close to coming it’s painful. We need to get out and find somewhere more suitable.” He towed her to the roman steps at one end of the pool and glanced around the area. Not even a sunbed had been left out.

His lady looked dazed and her eyes were misty.

“Eh?”

“We can’t come in the pool. Well, I can’t. We need to… Holy hell and fuck.”

She sat up, half out of the water, and rubbed her face. “That sounds rude and hold on, we need to fuck? Who says?”

“Well, you didn’t say we didn’t a few minutes ago,” Braam said. “But we need condoms. I don’t suppose you have one with you?”

“Con… Argh, shit and fuck. No, strangely I don’t. They’re not something I feel I need when I go for a walk at midnight.” She sounded horrified. “Even if it does include an illicit swim. You?”

He shook his head. “Sadly no. I mean where would I carry it?

She got out of the pool and looked around her. “Apart from that, I don’t make a habit of screwing with strangers, even with a condom. Where’s a towel? Blame it on the moon, oh, I don’t know, temporary insanity or jet lag or something. Pure fucking stupidity. Look, if you try anything, I’ve got a black belt in karate. So, towels?”

“Locked away. Along with sunbeds, robes and all things needed to fuck.” He paused. “Or dry off.”
She shut her eyes and sighed. “Figures. Oh, Lord, what have I done?”

“Nothing yet, and in the future? Up to you, but let me say, I seem to have been inflicted by the same bout of insanity if that’s any consolation.”

“It isn’t. I guess I’ll have to do the walk of shame in a dress sticking to my wet body.”

“Or we could make love and dry off that way?” Braam suggested. He could have bitten his tongue out. Do I have a death wish? When will I learn to keep my mouth shut?

“Or not. Sorry. But I don’t even know your name. Isn’t it at least polite to be introduced or something?”

She shivered and Braam stood up and left the pool to grab his shirt.

“Here, use this to dry off.” He handed her the shirt and walked to the other side of the pool where his jacket and trousers were. “My name is Abraham,” he said as he used his jacket to soak up the bulk of the moisture on him. It looked like even the dry cleaners wouldn’t save it. “Braam to my friends.”
There was silence from the other side of the pool.

“And you?”

His answer was to hear the faint noise of the lift descending.

Character Interview #TNTConfidential with Cade from Rescuing Cade and Elodie Parkes #erotic #romance #BDSM

Happy Tuesday, guys! I can't believe February is almost over, but worry not, I've got another awesome read for you. Elodie Parkes is popping by with her latest release Rescuing Cade  aaaand we have Cade himself here today!

Visiting today, we have Cade Cassidy from the new Evernight Publishing erotic romance release, Rescuing Cade.
Hi Cade, thanks for coming along to the blog today
  Hi, thank you for inviting me. I have to say it’s a little embarrassing seeing my story published, although it’s great too. What’s embarrassing about it? Well, without giving too much away, the way Marissa and I meet is unusual, I think … (He looks around and smiles as if remembering it.)

So, Cade, tell us something about Marissa.
She’s pretty, intelligent, lots of fun and best of all she’s mine.

What is, The Club? It’s mysteriously referred to in the book blurb.
The Club, is the name of the BDSM club that my buddy, Jack, takes me to. He’s trying to lighten me up right at the start of the story, because truth is, I was still recovering from a bad break up. There’s a great description of The Club, in the story, which is sexy and gives a good picture of what goes on there.

A BDSM club … Cade are you a Sub or a Dom? (He stares at me for a moment with his gorgeous blue eyes.) I’d rather not say. The whole thing is still a little gray for me. (Now he’s smiling.)

Okay let’s have some quick questions.
What’s your favorite, jeans, or a suit? I wear suits and jeans. I don’t have a favorite because I have some cool suits for work and some great faded denims that I throw on when I’m not working. It took me a while to get those jeans just the way I like them, ripped and faded. Marissa especially likes the tear in the upper thigh part.
Do you ever go commando? (He grins and his eyes twinkle) Er, yes, sometimes in my favorite jeans, the ones I just described. Once in a suit when Marissa and I went to The Club to meet with friends there.

Do you like making love with the lights off or on?
Both, either, it depends … Marissa likes candlelight (He smiles) Coffee or Cola? Has to be coffee. Are you offering me a cup … I didn’t get breakfast …

One more question. Maybe it’s a moot point since you’ve mentioned The Club, but here is it. In bed, toys or no toys? (Okay, he’s laughing now.)

The answer’s the same as lights on or off, both depending on the situation. I seriously need coffee now.

~~~ Rescuing Cade ~~~
Cade’s trying to get over a broken heart when his friend Jack takes him off to a nightclub, named only, The Club. Although at first Cade is shocked by the place he meets Marissa. It’s not long before he and Marissa get together, but under the pressure of expectations from, The Club, and Marissa’s fear of commitment, they’re both running in opposite directions. Gorgeous Cade has touched Marissa’s heart in ways she doesn’t want to admit. Lovely Marissa has lifted Cade’s sadness and opened his heart to love again. The trouble is — someone has to give a little. Who’s it going to be? An erotic romance with a sprinkle of vanilla BDSM
Excerpt: 18+Graphic sexual content The lights were low and Marissa took a seat at an empty table close to the small group of people. Strategically placed, she took in the delicious sight that was Cade, only a yard away now. Blue eyes, mmm, my favorite. Look at those lips, made for kissing, biting, sucking. She cast her eyes over his ass and thighs. She soaked up the sight of his handsome jaw line and her eyes flicked to his groin, where she assessed the hang of his suit pants and licked her lips at the promise of a big cock. Holy hell, he’s gorgeous. I’d like him on a collar and leash waiting for me to slap his ass and fuck him senseless. I’d like to slip a blindfold on him and run a feather over his cock to see it jerk to life. I’d like to tie him to a chair, suck him almost to orgasm, and then leave him to beg for release. Wonder if he’s dom or sub? As Marissa considered Cade’s preference, he turned and looked straight into her eyes. A huge stab of sexual excitement throbbed in her pussy. With her clit buzzing, she leaned a little forward to smile at Cade. He looked away. Marissa saw him gaze around the room. She watched as his shoulders
#8Sunday #SexySnippets #WeekendWritingWarriors: A Tempest of Passion #mfromance #paranormal @evernightpub
Happy Sunday, lovelies!
I've come down with a cold but that hasn't stopped me from celebrating the release of A Tempest of Passion. Yay!
Last week I shared a snippet in which William explained what love was for him. Today, I've decided to share Emily's point of view on the matter.
Some editing to keep to guidelines has taken place, so the sentences might look a bit funny.
I hope you're all having a great weekend!
XOXO,
Elyzabeth
“I did not realize you had such extensive knowledge on the subject of marriage and dalliance, Ms. Bunsbury, but pray, do enlighten me. If a man has a commendable woman as his lifelong companion, why would he search for another?”
“I take insult upon your words, Mr. Dalton, but I will answer your question regardless, for clearly you are in urgent need of illumination. You seem to harbor a romantic view of marriage and romance, when in this day and age if you are to look about, you shall see that most if not all holy unions are brought about by economic and practical ideals. A man marries a woman out of need for a slave for his household and a producer of an heir, whilst a woman marries a man so that she may live a comfortable life and not be stigmatized by society.”
“You do not believe in love, then?”
“Love?”
Emily’s eyes widened and softened, pity in their depths.
A Tempest of Passion
Emily Bunsbury is most definitely not a fainter. She prefers to leave that sort of shenanigans to young debutants and to those desperate to land a husband. She is neither.
Except last night she passed out and was rescued by none other than the town’s most eligible bachelor: William Dalton.  Of course, she wants nothing to do with him, but her heart and body don’t seem to be in agreement…
Banished from his pack for a crime he did not commit, William Dalton does not have the desire or the time to court women, yet, when he meets Emily Bunsbury he is incapable of staying away. Certain that it is nothing more than a passing fancy and not the mating pull, he pursues her.
However, as the unknown threat that expelled him from his pack strikes again, William realizes that Emily means much more and he must keep her safe. Now, if only she’d agree to his terms…
As danger grows with each passing day, will the couple learn to trust each other or will their love be nothing more than a temporary tempest of passion?
#Friday Happy Author Hour! Share a drink with your favorite #Authors! #HappyHour #writing Today with Julie Doherty @SquareSails
 Whether you're an author or not, you've heard it before: All authors drink.
But what do they drink?
It's the first Happy Author Hour of the year ! Please welcome, Julie Doherty, her single malt and a delicious recipe for Wild Mushroom beef! Mmmmm... you won't be forgetting this Friday!
 Julie Doherty & Lagavulin Single Malt
This isn’t a drink to belt down like a gunslinger. It’s meant to be savored, and I do, on very rare occasions, due to its cost.. The amber goodness packs a powerfully smoky punch with undertones of oak, sea salt, and sherry. It is distilled within sight of Dunyvaig Castle. Now in ruins, the castle served as a naval base for Somerled of Argyll, my 12th century protagonist from SCENT OF THE SOUL. I’m attaching photos of the drink—and of me, in Dunyvaig’s ruins!
Recipe: I’m a huge fan of the crock pot. Hey, I’m a writer with a day job! It’s either cook or write.
WILD MUSHROOM BEEF STEW
1.5-2 lbs. cubed beef stew meat
2 T flour
Salt & Pepper
1.5 c. beef broth
1 t. Worcestershire sauce
1 clove garlic, minced
1 whole bay leaf
1 teaspoon paprika (I like the smoked kind)
4 shiitake mushrooms, sliced
2 medium carrots, sliced
2 medium potatoes, peeled & diced
1 small onion, chopped
1 stalk celery, sliced
Coat meat with flour, salt & pepper. Stick that baby in Old Crocky and cook on low for 10-12 hours or high for 4-6. Remove and discard the bay leaf. At the risk of sounding like a total alcoholic, you know what gives this an even better flavor? Marinating the beef in smoky Lagavulin whisky first!
 In twelfth century Scotland, it took a half-Gael with a Viking name to restore the clans to their rightful lands. Once an exile, Somerled the Mighty now dominates the west. He’s making alliances, expanding his territory, and proposing marriage to the Manx princess.
It’s a bad time to fall for Breagha, a torc-wearing slave with a supernatural sense of smell.
Somerled resists the intense attraction to a woman who offers no political gain, and he won’t have a mistress making demands on him while he’s negotiating a marriage his people need. Besides, Breagha belongs to a rival king, one whose fresh alliance Somerled can’t afford to lose.
It’s when Breagha vanishes that Somerled realizes just how much he needs her. He abandons his marriage plans to search for her, unprepared for the evil lurking in the shadowy recesses of Ireland—a lustful demon who will stop at nothing to keep Breagha for himself.
About Julie:
Something magical happened in the musty basement of Julie Doherty’s local courthouse. She went there intending to research her ancestry, not lose herself in a wealth of stories, but the ghosts of yesteryear drew her into the past and would not let her go. The trail left by her ancestors in those yellowing documents led her from rural Pennsylvania to the Celtic countries, where her love of all things Irish/Scottish blossomed into outright passion. She came home with a handful of beach pebbles, a husband, and an overwhelming urge to write.
Julie is a member of Pennwriters, Romance Writers of America, Central PA Romance Writers, The Longship Company, and Clan Donald USA. She lives in rural Pennsylvania with her husband, who sounds a lot like her characters.
