"Enough Games" A Dragon's Heart, A Demon's Blood #8Sunday #SexySnippets #WeekendWritingWarriors #paranormal #romance

Happy Sunday, lovelies!

Once more I'm sharing a snippet from A Dragon's Heart, A Demon's Blood. Last week we finished with

“I'd like to make you an offer.".

I've skipped a few lines in whih the Demon Queen tries to seduce Adrian before telling him her offer, what follows is Adrian's reaction.

BTW, to those who celebrate: Happy Halloween!

Tired of her games and careless for his life, Adrian got on his feet. His reward was a barely audible gasp from the queen. Zendaya was a splendid succubus and she knew just how to stoke the male ego. It was quite a shame she was bothering to waste her charms on him. Facing her head on, he gazed into her eyes. Interesting, how they had changed to a shade of purple. The color of passion for the demons, he recalled a previous lover telling him. Unimpressed, he squared his shoulders, planted his feet firmly on the ground and crossed his arms over his chest. Enough.

“What is it you have to offer me, sugar, besides the obvious?”

Book Spotlight on A Forever kind of thing by Elodie Parkes #LGBT #mmromance @elodieparkes

New Release MM romance
A Forever Kind of Thing, from Encompass Ink

Businessman Will has hoped to meet musician Josh for so long, he’s astonished and elated when Josh finally notices and pursues him at one of the band’s gigs.
After a heady night of love, Josh is devastated when Will turns out to be a millionaire. He’s not a hustler. He couldn’t take and he couldn’t compete. He retreats into his music.
Will is sure they could have something special and tries to prove his love for Josh in the only way he knows how. Trouble is—it’s the wrong way.
Josh is shocked to discover he can’t forget Will.
They want each other. Their chemistry is scorching.
But Josh is running in the opposite direction as Will longs to love him.
Can love triumph?

Read a teaser:

Josh saw Will at one end of the bar and his heart leapt. Flutters started up in his stomach and he took a deep breath trying to steady himself. The encounter had rocked him to the core. He’d never in his wildest dreams expected to feel the way he did about a man whose name he still didn’t know. I want to, though. I want to know all about him. I want him in my life, and from the way he responded, he wants me bad. That’s great. I need it.
He watched the play of emotions cross Will’s face as he approached and stood close.
“Hi. I’m Josh Winters and you are…?” He grinned mischievously.
“Will—Will Trenton.” Will’s eyes held warmth, affection, and desire.
A spark of recognition lit in Josh’s mind. “That’s a familiar name, but I wouldn’t have been able to put a face to it. Are you famous or something?” He gestured to the bartender.
“A beer thanks—and for you?” He gave Will a tender look designed to tell the guy he liked him a lot.
“The same but let me … let me get them.”
Josh shook his head. “We have a tab.”
He saw a look of worry flit through Will’s eyes.
“It’s really okay, Will.” Josh moved even closer to Will. The toe of one boot touched the toe of Will’s. He gazed into Will’s eyes. Time slowed for Josh. This man was even more attractive close up with his handsome face lit by the bar’s sparkling white downlights. He took in the shade of stubble and wanted to bite Will’s chin. He ached to grab Will and thrust his tongue between those perfect lips. He recalled the way Will’s thick hair had felt as he grasped a handful. Softness filled his stomach. He didn’t know if this was love, but it sure was tenderness.

Book Spotlight on Alpha Bitch by Loralynne Summers #alpha #erotic #shifter #romance @LL_Summers

Hello! Thank you for having me today! I’m so excited to share my new release, Alpha Bitch, with you. This story was a bit of a surprise to me. I never expected to write a shifter story. Vampires, yes – I’ve got more than one vampire story in the unfinished files – but I learned early on not to fight my muse and just go with it. I have to say, I am quite pleased with the results.

I don’t know exactly where the idea came from. I can say that I was listening to a lot of Elle King, and the song Ex’s & Oh’s is basically Cassie’s theme song – it’s that “I don’t give a shit what you think of me” and “I’m not taking your shit” attitude that influenced the creation of Cassie. Currently there aren’t any sequels planned for this, but with being a shifter story, which involves packs, there are plenty of secondary characters to work with. So while it’s not a series at the moment, the possibility is there. I do have the feeling that there’s a story lurking out there, I just don’t know who it’s about, lol.

Blurb:
One runs free...
Cassandra Dumas is the Alpha of Stone Point, with no interest in bowing down to any man, let alone her fellow Alphas. At least, not until an accidental encounter triggers the mating bond. So when the High Council orders her to mate the heir of neighboring River Run, she is determined to find a way out of it to be with the only man she truly wants...
One is a captive...
Kieran Kimball is a caged wolf. Forbidden to shift, he chokes daily on his Alpha nature and serves Stone Point however the Alpha sees fit. Recently, he cares only to serve Cassandra. When she sends him away in advance of her forced mating, his world shatters. Until the unthinkable happens...
Together, they'll change all the rules...
Cassandra is nothing if not resourceful. Outsmarting River Run is just one piece of the prize to be won if she can pull off the coup of century while keeping everyone important still breathing.

Excerpt:

Before she could convince her wolf to turn around—because she really didn't want to have to take control and force a shift, leaving her bare-assed while traipsing through the cool woods at night—Kieran came into view. He stopped short at the end of the path.
Her heart, among other parts of her body, warmed at the sight of him. Water dripped from his long hair and ran down his bare chest to disappear beneath the band of his jeans.
“Cassie,” he said, surprise evident in his tone.
Against her better intentions, she walked over to him and rubbed against his leg.
“You shouldn't be here,” he whispered. Regardless of his words, his hand traveled down her back, stroking her fur as she wound around him. If she were a cat she would have purred, the sensation felt so good. He smelled fresh and clean, as if he'd been bathing in the river. He fell to his knees, and she stood in front of him with her head resting on his shoulder.
“Do you need something?”
She whined in response and nuzzled him.
Kieran's arms came around her neck and he buried his face in her fur.
“We can't, Cassandra.” He pulled away and held the sides of her head gently, staring into her eyes. His own were nearly completely gold, as close as his wolf could get to the surface. “You have to go. You have to forget about me. Find another.” His voice was hard.
She whimpered, responding to the authority within him and nearly giving in to the command. The reaction both amazed her and pissed her off at the same time. Cassie's wolf shook her head and stomped a foot.
“Yes. Go. Now.” Kieran stood and stepped back.
Cassie shifted, heedless of her naked body, and stepped forward, reaching for him. Kieran's jaw clenched and he swallowed hard before turning his back on her.
“Go, Cassandra. It's for your own good, and the good of our pack. Go,” he said over his shoulder, entering his cabin without another look at her.
With an indignant huff, Cassie turned and stalked away, hoping he was taking a good long look at what he was rejecting.

"I'd like to make you an offer." A Dragon's Heart, A Demon's Blood #8Sunday #SexySnippets #WeekendWritingWarriors #paranormal #romance

Happy Sunday, lovelies!

I've been thinking about what new story to share with you guys. Not an easy decision. I've got several manuscripts I'm working on and have yet to decide what to focus on for Nanowrimo as well. With so much indecision, I've finally chosen a snippet from A Dragon's Heart, A Demon's Blood. Nothing like a snippet with a demon to get into the Halloweeny feeling that permeats the air. *wink*

Adrian Ormonde gazed at the woman before him: Zendaya, queen bitch of the demon kingdom. She was a remarkable sight––no mortal man could resist her, and few paranormal creatures could refuse her. When Zendaya posed her eyes on you, there was no escape.

Unfortunately, she had caught him. Adrian Ormonde, legendary bounty hunter. Throughout the years, his employers had been wide and diverse. He’d hunted down demons, dragons, vampires, nymphs … it made no difference to him. However, he’d never been summoned, let alone ambushed and caught, by such a highly placed employer before.

“I'd like to make you an offer."

Book Spotlight on Tenderly Wicked by Katerina Ross #LGBT #romance #erotic

Happy Thursday, lovelies! Today I have the lovely Katerina Ross with her book “Tenderly Wicked”. She's also answered some interview questions! Let's get to know her a little bit better.

Blurb: Max has always been interested in the wicked ways of BDSM, but his unusual tastes haven't always been well received. Now he has Vadim, an eager Russian sub willing to fulfill his most daring fantasies. But there’s one problem—Max isn’t quite ready to accept what's right in front of him. His deep-seated insecurities threaten to spoil what's growing into more than just a kinky pastime.

And now, let's find out more about Katerina!

Hi Katerina, did you have to do any research for Tenderly Wicked? Tell us about it.
I like my stories to be graphic, so if I describe a bondage scene, for instance, I need to know exactly what different knots look like and if it’s hard for my character to tie them. Now I’m an expert in French bowlines and highwayman’s hitches :)

What’s been the most difficult part about writing this story?
I had to write it in a foreign language. My first language is Russian, but there’s little chance to officially publish an M/M romance in my country, especially a BDSM one. For a while, I’ve been writing fanfiction in English under the name “tenderly_wicked”, and it was a good practice, so I thought I’d cope with a long original story, too. By the way, you can find my fics on AO3.
Where does your inspiration come from?
Many scenes in my novel came to life because I wanted to describe certain places. The story is set in Moscow, and there’s a lot to tell about it. I wanted to give a glimpse of what living in my home city looks like.
Your favorite line from your Tenderly wicked is:
“Lack of information doesn’t make you less of a pervert. It just makes you feel very, very lonely.”
What’s your usual writing style?
I’m more of a sprinter than a marathon runner. I’m better at writing short fiction, so if I work on a long story, I divide it into small bits and finish them one by one, otherwise the task seems insurmountable. I usually write a few things simultaneously, both in English and in Russian, and switch between them.
What’s the craziest thing you’ve done?
I like traveling very much, and once I persuaded my friend to go hiking to Dartmoor, a moorland in the south of England. We walked from Hound Tor where an episode of “Sherlock” was filmed to the nearest village. It was a scenic route, but a very long one, and sometimes we thought we got lost. My friend says I’m a sadist for having made her walk so far. Well, she knew whom she was traveling with :)

Excerpt

When they were deep into the park, Max stopped and brought Vadim to a halt, too.

“See those bushes?” He pointed at hazel shrubs on the hill slope above the path. “Go there and fetch me a branch. A supple one. And remove the leaves and small twigs. The smoother it can be, the better. Better for you, this is.”

Vadim shot an apprehensive glance at him.

“Yeah, I suppose you guessed it right,” Max confirmed. “I did say we had to work on your punctuality. I tend to keep my promises. Luckily, the necessary implements are available on every tree. Convenient, isn’t it?”

For a moment, he felt a twinge of uncertainty, despite an attempt at a joke. Was he pushing too far? But it was only a moment, and then Vadim marched to the bushes without a word of protest. Max let out a breath he didn’t realize he was holding. When Vadim presented him with his trophy, Max inspected it thoroughly and even tapped at his palm with the rod.

“Acceptable,” he said. It was quite resilient. “Now come here.”

With a switch in his hand, like a shepherd, he guided Vadim to a thicket of bushes and onto a small grassy clearing among them. It was the closest thing to a secluded grove they were going to get.

“Bend over there.” Max pointed at the nearest tree with the tip of his switch. “Lower your pants.”

It was unlikely someone would see them from the path, but still, Max stood so that he was able to monitor this direction in case some picnic enthusiasts came looking for a hidden clearing, too. He was now at Vadim’s left side, enjoying the view of his well-shaped buttocks, so obscenely white before the first touch of the switch.

“Do you remember the number of minutes you were late?”

Vadim shook his head, silently, his palms flat against the rough bark of the tree, his pants and underwear down around his ankles.

“Too bad. Fortunately, I remember it all too well. Twelve minutes. Guess how many swats you get for this.”

The first stroke was gentle, barely more than a tap. Max tested his aim and the force of impact. At the second one, maybe too intense, Vadim let out a hiss. Max stepped closer and gently rubbed the pink welt that appeared on the pale skin.

“Don’t clench. Don’t fight it. It’s for your sake after all. It’s for you to remember that you should plan your life more efficiently. You better count, out loud. Show me you embrace the lesson. Okay?”

Vadim nodded, silent again. Max applied the strokes slowly, with intervals, waiting for Vadim to count them and not applying the full strength this time. He used his arm only from the elbow down and was careful to watch that the light, flexible end of the switch wouldn’t bite into the outer flank too harshly. When six slim, even lines had appeared across Vadim’s buttocks, Max decided to pay attention to the back of his thighs as well. They seemed to be even more sensitive. Vadim almost jumped every time the switch landed across the delicate skin, and yet he was pressing back to meet each slap. After ten blows, he suddenly reached around and pulled his butt cheeks apart so Max could add two more onto his twitching hole, which Max did, surprised and aroused by this uncalled-for act of submission. After that, with the switch still in his right hand, Max stroked its length across the tender insides of Vadim’s still spread buttocks—a feather-like touch that made Vadim suck a sharp breath in, much to Max’s delight. So responsive. So obedient. Mine. The proprietary feeling that welled up from deep within him was intoxicating.
